Apple 'n' Peanut Crisp

    4 apples, peeled, cored and thinly sliced
    75g sugar 
    1 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
    2 tablespoons water 
    45g porridge oats 
    30g plain flour 
    50g SKIPPY® Smooth Peanut Butter 
    40g butter 
    510g dairy vanilla ice cream
  • Instruction

    1. Preheat the oven to 220°C. Coat a 20-cm square tray bake tin with oil spray.
    2. In the tin, toss together the apples, 30g sugar and the cinnamon; sprinkle with water.
    3. In a medium bowl, combine the oats, flour and the remaining 45g sugar. Cut in the peanut butter and butter with a pastry blender or two knives until the mixture is the size of small peas. Sprinkle the crumbs evenly over the apples; cover with aluminium foil.
    4. Bake for about 20 minutes until crisp. Remove the foil; bake uncovered for a further 20 minutes or until the apples are tender and the topping is crisp and golden. Serve warm or at room temperature, topped with ice cream.
